The beautiful Italianate baroque church known locally as the Miner’s Cathedral has recently been refurbished to a lovely standard and as well as weekend lunches, and a raft of social activities for young people, they have started to officiate weddings again after a gap of several years.
If you’ve booked your wedding at St Hild & St Helen’s in Dawdon, there is a strong possibility that I’ll be your photographer. There was quite a bit in the press 1, 2, 3, 4, about this exciting new idea, which began in the middle of 2009, offering facilities, gowns, music, and the waiving of fees for couples who really didn’t want to, or simply couldn’t do the whole great big consumerist thing.
If you’re planning on getting married at St Hild & St Helen’s in the near future, please get in touch with David Taylor, the Minister there. He’ll arrange for us to meet and discuss the kind of photographs you’d like.
If I’ve already taken your wedding photographs, they will be accessible here from the drop-down menu above from a password protected page, along with some information about the photographic files on the CD you will receive. More information is in the packet with your CDs and on your own page: feel free to click through and enjoy your slide show.
If you don’t plan on getting married at St Hild & St Helen’s, I may be able to find you someone else who can do your pictures. Do leave your details in the comments box or contact me via email.
